BRONX MUSUEM OF THE ARTS
The flagship cultural institution of The Bronx, founded in 1971, The Bronx Museum of the
Arts focuses on 20th-century and contemporary art, while serving the culturally diverse
populations of The Bronx and the greater New York metropolitan area. The museum’s home
on the Grand Concourse is a distinctive contemporary landmark designed by the
internationally-renowned firm Arquitectonica.
The Bronx Museum of the Arts maintains a permanent collection of 20th and 21st-century
works by artists of African, Asian, and Latin American ancestry. Additionally, the Museum
collects works by artists for whom The Bronx has been critical to their artistic practice and
development. The Museum’s educational offerings spring from these central programs with
outreach to children and families as well as adult audiences. For more information please

G.R.L. at the MOMA!
Yeeeeoeoooo! last night was mad fun!
The NYC Graff Ladies were invited to attend the (G.R.L) Graffiti Research Lab collaboration with the the fellas at the Museum of Modern Art. Glad I made it, whew! this was mad official. Shout out to Emilia and Erotica for gathering the lady troops.
MOMA is located at 11 West 53rd st. Between 5th & 6th Ave
The Museum of Modern Art seeks to create a dialogue between the established and the experimental, the past and the present, in an environment that is responsive to the issues of modern and contemporary art, while being accessible to a public that ranges from scholars to young children. The ultimate purpose of the Museum declared at its founding was to acquire the best modern works of art. While quality remains the primary criterion, the Museum acknowledges and pursues a broader educational purpose: to build a collection which is more than an assemblage of masterworks, which provides a uniquely comprehensive survey of the unfolding modern movement in all visual media.
